Development and programming tools

The Copperduino is programmed with the official Microchip software and hardware tools.
All the demos presented here are done with Microchip's MPLAB C-compiler and IDE, a free evaluation tool suite with unlimited code size and no time limit on basic features.

The programming is done via Microchip's low cost Pickit3 USB In Circuit Debugger.

WARNING
Unless stated explicitly, never connect the programming tool to the straight male header connector in the middle of the board. This corresponds to the CopperLan/Ethernet microcontroller.
